HI David,
Nice car! Welcome in our forum,it's always interesting to read about 16V's from other countries..
Kind regards,Frank -
Hi Frank,
Thanks,
Not many 16-valves left here in Singapore...
maybe 3 x manual trans 2.3-16s and 4 automatic 2.5-16s.
due to RHD regulations, no Evo1 or Evo2s at all,
However, 1 or 2 x Evo 2s exist here in private collections even though they are not road legal.
if i recall correctly, mileage for these cars might be delivery mileage only
regards,
davidHI David,

Hi Max, Hi David,
yes this was my car, but I never sold it. And I never drove it as well
This car was a cheap way to get parts for my smokey-silver 16V. I sold some parts over the years, but still have something for safty left
But I never kept the rims. They went to the junk like the rest of the carChristoph Rieger

oh i understand now...
Yes keeping a spare car is the best idea for a source of parts.not so easy here though...!

David

Welcome,
this site is very good.
The text in combination with the picteres are nearly the best i saw. You must be a profi.
Good times here.
Are there many 16 V there?
Manfred -
hi Manfred,
thanks, glad you liked it.
the site is something i work on with a friend for fun during our spare time.
at the moment there are probably less than 5 manual 2.3-16s in Singapore and possibly another 5 more 2.5-16 in Auto.
No evo I or evo IIs on the road (due to our RHD regulation) but at least 1 or 2 exist in private collections.
regards,
david

Hi David,
it seems that your car is in a very good condition.
Keep it save, because Mercedes has built only nearly 26000 of the 16 V.
Here in Germany its getting harder to get a good one.

Manfred -
would you happen to know how many were made in Right Hand Drive?
thanks,
david

Really nice photos. Your car might have the genuine 185HP because your car was produced in 1985. That maybe the original high compression version. It seems you already have the AMG steering wheel. Later 16V became 177hp and then even 170hp in the usa.
Its nice to see your gear shift in brand new condition and your stop watch still in tact. I hope to get to see the evo collection in singapore. Is it avaialble in a museum?
Regards,
Ray
