I have a technical question and i hope someone can help. When Mercedes delivered these cars new from the factory, in the engine bay there was some kind of wax...Yellow in colour. This covered all the metal parts like the intake manifold etc. Can you still buy this? If so, what is it called and where do i buy it? Thankyou!

Thanks Axel, So no old stickers laying around I will continually update the forum as i get more updates. The car will be finished in the next week! Then i will be going to Germany to pick the car up! I can't wait. It has been a long process, but it has been worth it. Many parts are no longer available from Mercedes, which has dissapointed me. But the 16V is a wonderful car with so much class. I could have bought a brand new car, but i choose to restore my car instead
